A direct way to improve Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and protect your physical and emotional health is by regularly practicing a 4:8 breathing exercise: Breath in for count of 4 and out for count of 8 or more.
Nevermind the HRV - this is a great method to use when you’re stressed, in a crunch and need to make an informed decision (and not a reactive one). 10 breaths and you’re golden.
